The Impact You'll make in this Role:

As an Application Development Engineer AutoE (m/f/*) for Automotive Division in EMEA, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here you will make an impact by:

• Taking the lead in technical discussions with key account customers and their suppliers related to battery solutions 3M is offering in the market.
• Translating customer needs in the field of automotive electrification to the product development team to foster new developmental designs.
• Monitor key market trends in battery chemistries and designs to transfer know-how to the division.
• Foster close collaboration within the global 3M organization to various functions to drive successful implementation of customer needs.
• Implementing 3M-s development and growth strategy in the automotive electrification market, from market trends to product concept to application development into the electric vehicle application.
• Working with the customer from the selection of right product to validation and later full automated implementation at the manufacturing line.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor-s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Science (Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science or equivalent).
• Professional experience in electric vehicle market incl. knowledge on battery cell chemistry and battery cell designs.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Professional fundamental experience in Automotive industry preferred.

• High degree of flexibility in a dynamic working environment.
• Project management and stakeholder management experience.

Travel: May include up to 40 % domestic & international
