These tasks are waiting for you You will be involved in various aspects of registration activities for active substances, plant protection products and biosolutions including: Environmental fate risk assessment for biological and chemical plant protection products (calculation of predicted environmental concentrations in soil, groundwater, surface water, air…) and reporting Preparation of dossiers for authorization of active substances and plant protection products according to European and national requirements Evaluation and monitoring of laboratory and field studies on substance behaviour (e.g. kinetic evaluation of degradation studies to derive half-lives) Analyses of studies and data packages for guideline compliance and data gaps Close cooperation with our clients, scientific units and regulatory authorities Project management and strategic consultancy, development of higher tier strategies for refinement after an extensive 'on-the-job' learning phase You convince us with Scientific background (geoecology, environmental sciences, geography, geoscience or similar) Professional experience in environmental fate modelling in either consultancy, authority or industry preferred; motivated candidates with professional experience as study director for environmental fate studies might also be considered for the position Knowledge of environmental fate modelling (water and substance transport models, FOCUS models) and behaviour of chemicals in the environment (e.g. degradation kinetics, sorption isotherms) Experience with Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 would be advantageous Very good working knowledge of MS office tools; experience with programming languages (e.g. R or Python) would be an asset Very good level of written and spoken English, additional languages (especially German) are advantageous Self-motivation, problem-solving skills and diligent style of working Excellent communication and team player skills What we offer An attractive working environment and multifaceted tasks Friendly and open working atmosphere To work as part of a dedicated international team of scientists and staff Possibility of professional development and occupational education An opportunity to expand your personal network in industry, science and regulatory bodies High degree of project and self-responsibility Home office and mobile work opportunities Flexible working hours Company health insurance (bKV) Meal allowance (Essenszuschuss) Support of Deutschland Ticket, employee parking spaces, company bike leasing (Jobbike) Employer childcare allowance Individual ergonomic advices, Yoga and sports Team events Interested?69493 Hirschberg (Bergstraße) -
