JX Fund gGmbH Managing Director (m/f/d)
The JX Fund supports exiled media from countries where independent reporting is no longer possible and helps to maintain a diversity of voices. Without exiled media, censorship, propaganda and disinformation prevail. We collect and curate knowledge and data on the needs, challenges and achievements of exiled media, conduct research, network, mediate and promote. We base our programs for exiled media on this data and offer financial and structural support to help media survive the difficult period of (re)construction in exile. More efficient global support is made possible by data-based overviews and the mapping and matching of actors. Exile media become part of the global media community and provide their local target groups and the global public with (sustainable) independent information.
The JX Fund was jointly initiated in April 2022 by Reporters Without Borders, the Schöpflin Foundation, and the Rudolf Augstein Foundation, who all remain associated as shareholders. With the JX Fund, we have created a modern and powerful organization that brings together different stakeholder groups to support independent media in exile: foundations, NGOs, media, and the public sector.
